SVCHOST

Hi,

PcProblems PcSolutions is sharing very informative issue related SVCHOST,, like related the last post Make fast Win-Vista on Booting, sometimes windows OS is very slow and taking like ages to open any application so you need to check the processes those processed back of the OS so just press Ctrl+Alt Del and check SVCHOST processes, these SVCHOST are necesory for applications but if they are unusual like 15 or 16 etc so they are suspecious so you need to kill them by deleting but first you need to know that which application is dependent on any specific SVCHOST process then you should delete,,, so just follow this.

To view the list of services that are running in SVCHOST:

1. Click Start on the Windows taskbar, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type COMMAND, and then press ENTER.
3. Type Tasklist /SVC, and then press ENTER.

Tasklist displays a list of active processes. The /SVC switch shows the list of active services in each process.

now you can easily check SVCHOST processes and you can delete any SVCHOST which looks useless for you..

cheers:)

Show Hidden Files‏

Hi,

Pc Problems Pc Solutions brings a Best Solution related with Hidden files, Sometimes user enable Show Hidden Files Option but Files are not shown, its happened by some virus attacks, trojans or malware etc, so in the response of email which we have recieved we are suggesting you a solution,, follow the path...

Open the "Registry Editor" ("Start" >> "Run", then type "regedit" and Enter).
Expand to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
If the value "SuperHidden" exists, double-click on it to edit its value to (0 = show hidden, 1 = do not show)
If the value "SuperHidden" does not exist, create it as follows
Name: SuperHidden
Type: DWORD
Value: 0
(0: show hidden, 1: do not show)

-----------------------OR------------------------

Go to the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL

DELETE the value CheckedValue in the right window. (Its type should be REG_SZ and data should be 2.)

Now create a new DWORD value called CheckedValue (same as above, except that the type is REG_DWORD). Modify the value data to 1 (0x00000001).

This should let you change the "Hidden Files and Folders" option.

Hope it is helpful :)

Thanks
